In this style guide, we want to share some key tips for mastering the art of smart casual attire, a blend of professionalism and casual look at the same time. This dress code has gained huge popularity in these recent years. The balance of business casual is to looking professional yet feeling comfortable.

Choice of Jacket Materials.

Merino Wool is still a popular choice for it's classic look, durability and known for its soft, fine texture and light weight. There are some fancy designs and textures in our wool collections that are highly suitable for a blazer such as window pane pattern, Solaro 2-tone textures and different types of plaids.

Wool+Silk+Linen blend

Our Wool linen and silk blend has been our best selling range of fabrics for business causal wear. It has the beautiful fluidity of wool, casualness of linen and softness of silk all blending into one fabric. Many of our fabric suppliers has been increasing their collection of such materials to cater to its growing popularity and our Loro Piana fabric range has been them most popular due to its quality and beautiful design.

Linen

Ideal fabric for summer for its breathability and comfort with its natural casual texture. Linen takes colours very well and if you're looking for vibrant colours, linen will be an excellent choice. Linen blazers can be tailored in fully unlined construction to make it lightweight and cooling to wear in our Singapore climate or your summer vacation places. Cotton

Cotton jackets are uncommon as its stiff structure might feel restrictive to some people but cotton do make excellent choice for tailored cotton chino pants. It gives a structured shape to trousers and its breathability is excellent for our tropical weather. Choose easy to match colours such as navy, beige, khaki, browns and white to go with your contract colour jacket for that casual chic look. We highly recommend the cotton chino range from Albini whom are the top producer for high quality cotton globally.

Contrasting top & bottom colours: Try this combination of having a darker colour blazer with light colour pants or vice-versa; light coloured jacket with a darker contrasting pants.

Tees or collared shirts?: Dress it up a little with a clean solid shirt if it is a business event. If it's a dinner at a nice restaurant, you can wear simple good quality round neck t-shirt under your blazer or even a full suit.
